Germany to lead European Council through the Corona Virus Crisis

On 1 July 2020, Croatia handed over the presidency of the European Council while the corona pandemic continues, spreading economic woes and costing human lives. The challenges presented by this unprecedented crisis will be met head on by German MEPs whose primary goals will be to keep the European Union united and reach a solid agreement on the recovery fund and the EU’s budget 2021-2027.

In its program, Germany intends to keep sustainability in its work through the European Green Deal, and economic and social digitalisation.
