EPD International Publishes a New c-PCR for Abrasive Products

Paris, June 25, 2024 – EPD International has officially published the new c-PCR (Product Category Rule) for abrasive products, marking a milestone in sustainability. This comprehensive guideline, documented in the c-PCR-030, aligns with international standards and provides a transparent, consistent, and verifiable framework for evaluating the environmental impacts of abrasive products throughout their life cycle.

The newly released c-PCR encompasses the entire life cycle of these products, from raw material extraction to disposal, ensuring that the industry’s environmental performance can be systematically assessed, and communicated. The European abrasive industry, supported by FEPA, has been at the forefront of the green transition. The publication of this c-PCR is a testament to this leadership.
